Need DLC to carry on after Game Complete

‘Fallout 3 the 2008 Game of the Year’ Do I really need to write a review. This game is definitely one of the best games I have ever played and Bethesda did an amazing job in changing the actual game engine from the previous fallout games. The old ones were a Bird eye view game which at the time was enjoyable but now that couldn’t make the stores. Well where do I start with this game? It has a gripping Story which starts in a Vault. Your character knows nothing about the outside world as it was all destroyed by nuclear warfare and now the world is reduced to a wasteland with mutated life forms and radiated humans and locations everywhere. So you start off in a Vault with your Father who is greatly voiced by Liam Neeson and then your Father mysteriously disappears without even saying goodbye to his own son. So you exit the Vault and go on a quest trying to find your Father. The stunning visuals that you see once you leave that vault are incredible with a perfect take on a post-apocalyptic World. It is not long before you find yourself in one of the main towns known as Megaton and then you find yourself running errands to get information on the whereabouts of your Father.

This Game is definitely one to pick up as it is completely jam packed of amazing things. You have Levels that you need to increase which makes your character stronger and also you have perks that you can upgrade upon to change your game and grant you special bonuses. You have a Gripping 20+ hour long Main Quest line which I will not explain further because of spoilers and a vast amount of Side Quests which are all original and very fun. This game is great for replay ability as it just has so many things to do. You can also have companions which follow you around and join you on your Quests. Another good thing about this game is the choice. You get the power of choice to be an Evil or good and both haves there advantages and disadvantages. Karma even effects how missions are played and peoples thoughts on you.

Waste lander or a Good one? Also the feature of V.A.T.S which lets you lock onto your enemy and pick the places to shoot is also a very good feature. You can seek out your enemy’s weak points and kill them a lot quicker than just mindlessly shooting. Finally there is really limitless freedom the world is massive and there is so much to explore. You can Visit towns, Battle through DC or explore the wasteland in 1st or 3rd person. The 3rd person could be improved upon a bit but I like playing in 1st person anyway. It is far easier when to aim when in 1st person.

Fallout 3 also has a huge arsenal of weapons to find and use. The weapon arsenal is truly massive from laser rifles to Rocket Launchers which fire Mini Nukes! You also can spend your money in many different ways by buying houses weapons and armour etc. But the fun doesn’t stop there. If you are going to buy Fallout 3 definitely look out for the Game of the year edition which includes all five Downloadable content (DLC) packs with it. You have ‘Operation Anchorage’ which lets you enter a military simulation and fight the liberation of Anchorage. Which is in Alaska fighting the Chinese Communist Invaders, ‘The Pitt’ which is a quest line which lets you Travel to the Post-apocalyptic remains of Pittsburgh and become embroiled in a conflict between slaves and their Raider Masters. Broken Steel which carries on from the end of the game which raises your level cap to 30, and finish the fight against the Enclave remnants alongside Liberty Prime which is a giant Robot. Point Lookout which lets you embark on a mysterious and open-ended adventure in a huge murky swampland along the coast of Maryland. Finally we have Mothership Zeta which is a very different content pack which Lands you on a hostile Alien Spacecraft which you need to take over and get out of and get back to the Capital wasteland. All of The DLC’s for Fallout 3 are very good and should be played. These are usually about £7.99 each if you buy them separately but I would recommend buying the Game of year bundle. The DlC’s all together add so much more to do and it is unbelievable how many hours can be spent playing this game.

Fallout 3 is nothing short of an Epic and needs to be played. It is a truly amazing game with no flaws in my opinion so I will rate this game 10/10 because it is my favorite game of all time and is a masterpiece.

Fallout is a lot funnier. Because of 18 rating able to do more adult humor and shooting a Fat Man at a town is Funny!

i found both oblivion and skyrim better than this because this just makes technology and doesnt have as much humour in as both of the other two
