Team Fortress 2

Team Fortress 2 is a well-made addictive game. From the first time you play it you just want to play it more and more. It has so many features from buying weapons to just owning the other team in combat. The Game consists of 2 equally similar teams (Team Red and Team Blue). It is a multiplayer only game where you need to fight and beat the other team in many different situations. Since its release back in 2007 the game hosts many different game types including the basic king of the hill all the way to payload where you have push a cart to the enemies base in a short time limit.  When in the game you can pick a variety of different classes which dramatically change you’re playing style. You have a Heavy which is a heavily armored but slow and a Spy which is quite weak but can turn invisible and be very stealthy. These are just 2 of the 10+ classes you can be. The Game has a massive community and is growing every day. You have new maps and festive events coming out all of the time and they never stop helping out the community. To add to that you get this all for free!

But every game has its flaws… Team Fortress don’t get me wrong is a very good game but there are a couple of things I don’t agree with. They have an online store which sells weapons that you can buy for your character on the game. They charge ridiculous prices for at the end of the day a bunch of pixels that you hit/shoot people with. The game used to cost about £8 (not at its peak) and got loads of sales. This whole store idea in my opinion is a way to get more money out of you and is unnecessary. There is a feature in the game which allows the players to trade with each other which Is an idea that I love, but you cannot trade the items which you buy from store. So really what is the point?

The graphics of this game are different and since then several games have caught on and do use the same cartoon style. The animation and art design is fantastic and you will get to like it more and more the longer you play. Not getting too carried away with the gorgeous graphics its the game after all. The most important factor is the gameplay. In team fortress 2 there are three main ways of playing offensive, defensive and support. In the offensive category there is the Scout, Solider and Pyro, For the defensive there is the Demoman, the Engineer and the Heavy and finally in the support there is the Sniper, Spy and the medic. All of these classes play a huge role in winning a game on team fortress 2 and missing any out can cause you team to lose. For example playing as a medic isnt very effective when running straight into the battlefield. The medic’s main purpose is to heal team members although they can be used for fighting offensive classes are much more effective. The way to the game is for your whole to team to mesh together.

If your team has many engineers who aren’t guarding their structures there will be many enemy spies sapping them. If your team has no heavy’s or soldiers your team will struggle to take ground. Each class relies on others for progress. This is what makes team fortress different from any other.

This game is still great and offers a lot of play time. It varies in each person how much you play it, but I can assure you that you will get some good fun out of it. It is an amazing game to play with your friends and you can have a lot of laughs talking to each other and discussing strategies in game. This is definitely 100% a game that you should download as it is free but to have the ability to trade you must of bought at least 1 weapon.  I would rate this game 8.5/10. It is a great game which is very addictive but has a bad store idea. The game has had a lot of bugs fixed so now should be finally bug free. There is now no reason not to download this game straight from Steam.
